MFXG trading workshops are focused educational sessions designed around a defined market, risk, research or process topic. Availability, format and scope are confirmed before a session is arranged.

MFXG trading workshops are focused educational sessions built around a defined market, risk, research or trading-process problem. They are intended for people who want concentrated work on one area without assuming that every participant needs the same strategy or the same level of experience.

Workshop availability, delivery format, duration and any fee should be confirmed before a session is arranged. This page describes the educational scope rather than advertising dates or prices that may change.

What a workshop is designed to do

A useful workshop should turn a broad topic into a set of decisions, calculations or review steps that participants can apply independently. The session should explain the reasoning behind the framework, not simply provide rules to copy.

For example, a risk workshop should connect position size to invalidation and account exposure. A journaling workshop should show which fields help distinguish execution quality from financial outcome. A backtesting workshop should make assumptions, costs and validation choices visible.

Possible workshop topics

Depending on current scope and audience, a focused session can be built around areas such as:

  • building a trading plan and defining a setup;
  • position sizing, leverage, exposure and drawdown control;
  • trading journals and post-trade review;
  • trading psychology as observable decision behaviour;
  • backtesting, strategy validation and evidence quality;
  • performance metrics and interpretation;
  • financial-market structure and execution;
  • capital allocation and the difference between trading and long-term investing; or
  • financial data, quantitative research and research workflow.

The relevant educational background is already available across Risk Management, Trading Systems, Trading Performance & Analytics and Applied Financial Engineering & Research.

How sessions are structured

A focused workshop works best when it begins with a specific question. Instead of “teach trading,” the session might ask how to define maximum exposure, how to review a trade sample, or how to prevent a backtest from using future information.

The topic can then be broken into the underlying concept, a decision framework, examples, common failure modes and a practical exercise. This structure keeps the session connected to something participants can measure after the workshop.

Evidence and exercises

Where appropriate, participants can work with sample trade records, hypothetical risk calculations, research examples or their own anonymized process material. Any example should be used to explain a method rather than imply that the same market outcome will repeat.

For strategy-specific questions, the standard of evidence matters. Historical results should be separated from forward evidence, and performance should be interpreted together with risk and realistic costs.

Who workshops suit

Focused sessions can suit independent traders, small groups, research teams or financial-market learners who share a clear educational objective. The appropriate depth depends on experience and the subject being covered.

A workshop is less suitable when the expected outcome is guaranteed profit, a live signal feed, instructions to recover losses quickly or a promise that one technique works in every market condition.

Education is different from execution

MFXG workshops are educational. They do not manage client funds, execute trades for participants or guarantee investment outcomes. The aim is to improve understanding of a process so participants can make and review their own decisions.

Where an individual needs personalized regulated investment advice, they should use an appropriately authorized provider for that activity. MFXG does not present an educational workshop as a substitute for regulatory authorization.

Availability and enquiries

Because subject, format and availability can vary, no workshop should be assumed to be scheduled until the scope is confirmed. Use the contact page to describe the topic, intended audience, experience level and the practical outcome you want from the session.
